Last week I attended a networking event that had a guest speaker talking about Social Media and Web 2.0. The night was good but from some of the questions it became evident that there are still a lot of people who don’t know much about this, so I thought I should take the time [...]
Archive for July, 2007
A few weeks ago I read about a couple of guys that broke into an amusement park in the US. The article quotes:
The burglars tried to disable a security camera by repeatedly spraying it with WD-40 — it only cleaned the lens — and spent an hour and 15 minutes trying to open three [...]
How to get Google’s attention if you’re a Flasher
Published by July 25th, 2007 in Keywords and Web Development. 0 CommentsGoogle isn’t a big fan of Flasher’s - and we’re not talking about seedy looking guys in Trench coats, but rather websites that are designed using Flash.

I’ve read it plenty of times and have typed it in emails, but it’s not the kind of word that you really speak out-loud often - and subsequently I never get it right. [...]
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) launched a claim against Google’s PPC advertising program - AdWords, stating that the way the results are displayed is misleading due to the fact that there is no distinction between the organic results and paid advertisements (tagged as sponsored links).
The Australian newspaper reports on the incident - [...]
The biggest news for the week is that we’ve just launched a New SiteMost website. A special thanks to the team at Kintek who designed it for us.
We’re interested in all feedback (both positive and negative… as long as it’s constructive) so feel free to let us know what you think.
