It only seems like yesterday that we decided to start this SEO blog, but if you scroll back through the archives you’ll actually find that 12 months ago (today) the first SiteMost blog post appeared.
Since then, over 52328 words have been written attracting 127 comments, about 150 subscribers and over 45,000 visits to the site.
In the grand scheme of things, these stats are pretty insignificant when compared with many of the other blogs I read - but I’m pretty happy with the results and it will be interesting to see how things continue to grow over the next 12 months.
Over the last year I’ve met some incredible people (some in person, some through social media channels) and the wealth of knowledge I’ve gained from each and every one of these people has been priceless.
Although the term ‘friend’ is used quite loosely on many social networking sites, I believe I have made some genuine friendships as a direct result of blogging… and to me, this has been far more fulfilling than any of the statistics above.
To help start the next 12 months off on the ‘right foot’ I’d love your feedback on what you’ve liked, disliked and what you’d like to see here in the years to come.

Congratulations on surviving your first year! I look forward to year 2.
Thanks Dr Pete… please don’t set your expectations too high
Hey Peter,
Congrats on the birthday, I thought it was longer than that!
Did you see they best looking man in SEO competition over at Sphinn, it seems they are stealing all our thunder! I still rank third behind Sphinn currently for “best looking man in SEO” haha I don;t see what all the debating is about!
Catch up again soon.

Hi Pete,
It feels good to reach that one year anniversary
All the best for year two and I totally agree with the comment that making friends is a huge benefit of blogging.
Cheers, Christine (and I hope to see you again at the next blogging conference)
@Peter Laurent - we’ve been doing SEO for a lot longer than a year, some of it has been freelance consulting, some through Ingenuity Hosting etc. etc. but the SiteMost brand is only about a year old… more importantly though - when are you going to accept that you’re not that good looking?
@Christine Parfitt - most definitely… we should try and catch-up next time you’re in town or next time I’m up your way. Cheers
Crap… not sure how I missed this! Congrats on reaching the 1st milestone Pete… here’s to many more
@Burgo - Thanks… much to many peoples dismay, we’re not planning on disappearing anytime soon
